World View Perspective: The attic of our mind

Our minds have such depth to them and so many abilities.  Do we ever stop to 'think' about that?  They can be like an attic in a house.  Full of amazing things; some old, some broken, some scattered, some too crowded to identify anything useful and yet full of some undiscovered treasures.  Yet, when we clean them out, clearing away what is old, broken and no longer useful, we begin to fill the space with so much more than we thought possible.  Most importantly, we create the useful space for something much more current and useful to come in!

When we take out the musty, dusty, shattered, scattered remnants of a life that our minds are holding onto, and we are willing to let them go, grateful for the experiences, we can open the curtains of our mind or, at the very least, turn the light on and look around.

The image of a dusty, musty, rusty old attic is a perfect metaphor for this.  We store everything possible in our minds, cluttering, shuttering everything possible in it until it is full.  Yet, what if it is full of fear instead of current life, love and Light?  Then, the darkened world of our mind closes down, shuts down and won't allow any light in or out.  Our minds can close into themselves due to fear, whereas faith opens our minds to so, so much more.

What we tend to forget as people is that we are so very capable of shifting and changing our perspective as often as we want to and certainly as often as needed.  We are also capable of choosing happiness, better health and greater harmony within our selves.  We can also use our imagination, an idea of our own inner/outer LIGHT and a sense of magic to clear off our system and release through peace our human system's pent up fear, anger, frustrations and dark old heavy energy.  In essence, we are capable of cleaning out and clearing out our old cluttered attics of old useless mental debris that we no longer need and certainly don't want!

If you can imagine your mind being cluttered now and so you decide it is time to empty out what is old and fill it instead with happier thoughts, healthier thoughts and thoughts that are in harmony with positive thinking in general, what could you do? If you cannot see what you continue to hold there, but you want to go in and clear it, what would you do first?  You would need to TURN ON A LIGHT, right?

So, let's say the brightest LIGHT you can think to turn on in your mind is your own HIGHEST LIGHT, which is your expanded LIGHT of the LIGHT ITSELF!  What if this LIGHT you choose is the LIGHT that can help you illuminate LIFE itself for you.  Wouldn't you choose this LIGHT?  Wouldn't you choose this LIGHT, not just for today but every day?  Wouldn't you choose to have this LIGHT show you the way to your very best life, your most fulfilling life, a life where you can continue opening yourself to all possible hope, all possible things and all positive possibilities for you?  Yes, my guess is you would.  What a great LIGHT to hold in your mind!

Of course, anything useful can and will stay right where you consciously put it in your clear, clean illuminated mind! What you can throw out you should because it isn't useful, needed, wanted or who you currently are, on any level.  Once the LIGHT is on so you can see what you've held onto up there, there is also no need to shame, blame, send yourself negative messages, judge yourself or anyone else either.  Simply recognize it, release it, bless it even but mainly just feel ever so grateful that you had it, held it, experienced it and found it useful at at the time.  Now, without fear or remorse, release it for the much happier, healthier perspective to come.  It will come now into a mind that is free and open to allow it in, invite it in and to welcome in the fresh, new change of perspective.

Once our minds are emptied of what is old and unneeded and unwanted now, and more LIGHT comes to fill it, we are lifted up and out into a fresh new beginning of an uncluttered world of old worries, fears, stress and strife.  The past is the past and holding on might just savor sweet memories yet it can burden us unnecessarily, too, if we're not careful.  You can have a sense of a beautiful white chest of drawers in your fresh new attic that contains all your most cherished memories.  Open each drawer and put in as many beautiful memories as you can and then close the drawers, knowing they are safe for you to go visit anytime.  Otherwise, release the old ones and let them fully flutter away!

Open the potential treasures of your own mind by TURNING THE LIGHT ON and being brave enough to let go of what you identify as no longer needed!  The shadows of old will let go and you will have gifted yourself an amazing ability to start again, in the wonderful new golden space and time of YOU!
