World View Perspective: The attic of our mind

Our minds have such depth to them and so many abilities.  Do we ever stop to 'think' about that?  They can be like an attic in a house.  Full of amazing things; some old, some broken, some scattered, some too crowded to identify anything useful and yet full of some undiscovered treasures.  Yet, when we clean them out, clearing away what is old, broken and no longer useful, we begin to fill the space with so much more than we thought possible.  Most importantly, we create the useful space for something much more current and useful to come in! When we take out the musty, dusty, shattered, scattered remnants of a life that our minds are holding onto, and we are willing to let them go, grateful for the experiences, we can open the curtains of our mind or, at the very least, turn the light on and look around. The image of a dusty, musty, rusty old attic is a perfect metaphor for this.  We store everything possible in our minds, cluttering, shuttering everyth...
