Twentieth Poetry Post: Families

FAMILY OF MAN

If anything can
It is the family of man

If we know who we are
We can touch a star

With an open heart
We have the right start

Forgiving our past
Lets us go right past

All that hurt
Face down in the dirt

If we truly smile again to life
Gone will be our inner strife

This isn't trite, it’s true
Look within, you always knew

Recognizing we are all one
Returns to us all the fun

We know when something isn't good
We know what else would

If we stay true to what’s inside
We would no longer stop and hide?

We’d open right up
Fulfill our own cup

With the highest truest love
Because for all . . .

It is what we’re made of!
