The way the 'waves' (our initial parents) wave us in, we learn how to behave in current society. We are taught many things about manners, how to dress, speak, react and respond and how to take care of our bodies. We are taught how to keep ourselves safe, protected and how to interact with others. As we learn and absorb many things, we also learn how to keep things and aspects of ourselves hidden. Certain body functions, certain terms or phrases that are not acceptable, particular behaviors, in general, that are frowned on. Our waves or initial caregivers, grandparents, extended family, friends, teachers, neighbors and co-workers can also add commentary about what is and isn't acceptable. Once we have collected all this information to apply out into the world, we have become skilled at what to do and not do in public. And, in that effort to hide certain things not to be aired in public, many secrets, disclosures, stuck old pain and hurts from the past...
