World View Perspective: When aspects of our selves speak to us

Perhaps our happiness comes mainly through or from our own heart.  We see a baby, we touch a rose, we smell fresh baked goods or we receive a smile and we feel happy.  Yet, when we can listen carefully enough, we can hear different aspects of our selves speaking to us, begging to be heard.  These aspects also impact our happiness and even our health!

It can be as if that aspect of our self has been quiet a long time; maybe repressed, depressed or suppressed, unable to be expressed yet present.  Something or someone shifts and changes our life and suddenly, that small barely audible voice speaks up.  Why now, we might wonder before we ask, what is it it needs to say to me or why does it now have to reach me or teach me?

Just like a clear and pure pond, from the depths of who we are, an old rock can call to us, alerting us that it is time to see it, acknowledge it and remove it.  It has been there long enough!  It is blocking our sense of self and preventing us from the health and happiness we deserve.  It has effectively kept us stuck for a long time and because we can now see it, it is the hidden blessing, emerging.

Perhaps it is an aspect left over from childhood or a trauma that we have covered up.  Possibly, an old deep hurt that redefined us or a small pebble that has grown, over time, due to unresolved fears. It could be just an old idea of our selves that is no longer true, appropriate, applicable or realistic.

Still, it has a voice if we will listen, hear it and respect it.  It has something to tell us, show us, demonstrate to us or perhaps it is offering to help us to resolve it.

If you think of your self as a mansion, it can be quite useful.  In our human mansion, we have many, many rooms.  We have a physical room, an emotional room, a room for our intellect, a space for our spirit and a space for our psychological sense of self.  There could be a creative room, a sensual room and room to wonder in.  We have memory rooms, a childhood special place and hopefully a room to continue growing and developing in.

Let's say, we spend all our time in just three of our rooms, never exploring our hidden rooms or the spaces we don't know as well.  We only develop a few skills or a few ideas about our selves.  We might become strong in those rooms but what about entering the other rooms and seeing what else we might discover inside them, inside of us.

Those unexplored rooms might feel foreign, at first, but after we turn on the inner light and look around, we might start to open to all those additional possibilities.  Once we feel more familiar in those places and spaces within us, visiting them more frequently, new aspects of ourselves might come out to greet us, to integrate into us and broaden out our perspective.  This is a very healthy sign and signal to follow.

When, for example, a depressed aspect of our self surfaces, we might feel a more natural tendency to shut it up.  To cover it up through any number of ways; with food, drinks, money, friends, movies or any other sign of distraction.  Yet, if we can carve out a quiet, undisturbed place to sit with it, cry with it, stir it open, stand back and study it, and finally, to let it out, what it may have to say can become an instrument for change.

Forgiving what may have cause the hidden depression or hurt, including forgiving our selves, can be like turning a stone into a feather.  Something heavy turns light and can now fly away.  If we never listen to it to actually hear it, it might just grow even heavier with time, blocking us even more.

Trust in and having faith in the Infinite Being of Pure Love, Pure Light and Pure Energy is wonderful and inspiring for our day to day lives but having Trust and Faith in our selves, too, deeply and completely, adds even more happiness and health to our lives in each moment.  It fills us more naturally with joy!

Learn to listen to YOU and allow healing to enter as YOU clear out old stuck aspects of anything or anyone who may have hurt you from the past.  Allow that new space to fill with something better and more current for YOU now.  Feel gratitude and forgiveness for it all for getting YOU to right here and right now. For surely, it was a wise and present teacher, guiding YOU ever forward.  In this way, WE become our own finest teachers as well as the students of our own unique and lovely lives!

Then our own mansions can be forever filling with more LIGHT in which to see and we will be much more fulfilled, too, as a result . . . and IT IS GOOD!
